Hello all! I’ve had another fantastic review for Hell & High Water. This one is from Joyfully Jay, and she had some fantastic things to say!
Cochet really does a wonderful job developing both this alternate world with its more futuristic technology, along with the paranormal aspect of the Therians. We get wonderful detail on the weapons, the technology, the different types of Therians, the politics, all the little elements that make it seem so real. The world is so well fleshed out and is just so creative and really fascinating. I am super excited about this new series. I love the creative new world Cochet develops here. It is clever and unique and I am so excited to see where things go as the series continues. So a great start and I really can’t wait for more.

Hello all! So I’m a bit behind on Rack & Ruin, THIRDS book 3 but for a good reason. I’ve just had a little bundle of adorableness arrive. His name is Olly and he’s a seven week old pup. The breeder was supposed to have given Olly over at eight weeks but for personal reasons had to give the pups away a week ahead of schedule. He’s tiny. A toy poodle/dachshund mix.
Today’s his fourth day with me and he’s settling in nicely, though as you can imagine, pup wants to be with his new mommy at all times and protests to his crate training. He thinks it’s play time all the time and I’m resisting coddling him because I don’t want him to develop bad doggie habits. There’s potty training going on though he seems to be a quick learner and by day two he knew exactly where to go to find his water and food bowls. He answers to his name by bouncing over to you and he’s even scratched at the back door to go outside.
It’s hard to get work done with that little face staring up at you but I’m learning to resist the puppy kryptonite. Hopefully I can catch up this week with major word countage during the day. Olly’s forcing me to be a morning person which is quite a feat considering how often I have to get up in the night to let him out of his crate to go potty. And then of course there’s the hour or so of protesting once I put him back in.
Okay, on to the update. There’s still time to enter my giveaway over at The Hat Party. Contest ends this Thursday, April 10th at 11:59pm (EST). Just drop by and leave a comment for a chance to win.

My first official review is in for The Amethyst Cat Caper from Joyfully Jay and I’m so very pleased by it! This is my first published story that is longer in length (novella), and the feedback I’ve been receiving has been wonderful. Not only because people seem to be enjoying it, but because I’ve also learned about areas I can improve upon moving forward, which is so very important to me.
I like to know what works and what doesn’t, what can be made better. After all, that’s all part of the growing process, and it’s very exciting. This one’s a little bit strange in the sense that I wrote The Amethyst Cat Caper months before I wrote When Love Walked In, even though it was published second. I learned quite a bit from The Amethyst Cat Caper which I put to use in When Love Walked In, hence the slow build up to Bruce and Jace’s relationship as opposed to the faster paced relationship Remi and Hawk have. Of course that just means in Hawk and Remi’s next adventure, I’m going to have to make them suffer a little. Sorry boys, but if you thought you were going to walk away that easy… I’m cruel, I know.
