He’s nobody’s definition of Mr. Right—but that might make him perfect.

Matthew Hart is heir to the family fortune and owner of Hart & Home. When a near-death experience has Matthew fretting over the future, he decides he needs a husband, and not just any husband—an appropriate man to protect the Hart legacy. The last thing Matthew expects is to cross paths with Jax Foster, his first love and the boy who crushed his heart when he disappeared.

Jax is unlikely to make Matthew’s list of suitable candidates. Bad boy, vagabond, deep in debt, with a father who can’t keep out of trouble, Jax has nothing to offer—except his heart and a second chance at the romance they never got to explore.

  1. I love enemies to lovers and age-difference. But I like all the tropes.

  2. I like gay for you and friends to lovers.

  3. Friends to lovers especially stories that begin with the characters as children or feature them meeting as children once more more.

  4. I wonder if there will be another book for Andrew.

  5. May December, friends to lovers enemies to lovers

  6. Hurt/comfort is my favorite trope. Congrats on the release!

  7. Hurt/Comfort is my favorite trope. Congrats on the release!

  8. I love a good fantasy romance.

  9. No favorite trope; I just like a good story.

  10. My favorite trope would be friends to lovers. I like the positiveness of it!

  11. I’m a sucker for fake dating. We must make whatever situation work by being the most couplely couple to ever couple! What you love me?! I love you too!! I’m terrible.

  12. I think enemies to lovers or opposites attract are great tropes.

  13. I love the conflict of enemies to lovers.

  14. I love friends to lovers!

  15. I guess my favorite trope would be opposites attract or second chance romances… thank you for the chance!!!

  16. I’ve never really thought about my favorite romance trope to be honest. However, I love enemies to lovers and friends to lovers, especially when one of the friends suddenly realizes they’ve got feelings for the other, whose always loved them but never thought it would be reciprocated. The road to their happiness is always interesting, full of love, laughter, pain, misunderstandings, all the things real life relationships endure. I also love anything paranormal/supernatural too, because I think that adds a whole new layer to a story, especially when the mate concept is introduced. I think I love them because I love the idea of being mated to someone, knowing without a doubt the other half of your soul is out there. Can’t wait to read this!

  17. My favorite romance trope is probably enemies-to-lovers. The passion is usually quite intense (angry sex and all, lol) and the pair actually tend to get to know one another before diving in and having a one-nighter or regrets afterward.

Second chances are ok, depending on how things ended the first time around of course. Best of luck on this book, and will it be a series? Since its one of those Dreamspinner ideas, I’m thinking probably not? I have questions about the Dreamspinner-published-series books in general, and how much control the author has over their contributions to them. Can’t wait to check out this one, even if it isn’t PNR. 😉
