Charlie Cochet is an author by day and artist by night. Always quick to succumb to the whispers of her wayward muse, no star is out of reach when following her passion. From adventurous agents and sexy shifters, to society gentlemen and hardboiled detectives, there’s bound to be plenty of mischief for her heroes to find themselves in, and plenty of romance, too!

Currently residing in Central Florida, Charlie is at the beck and call of a rascally Doxiepoo bent on world domination. When she isn’t writing, she can usually be found reading, drawing, or watching movies. She runs on coffee, thrives on music, and loves to hear from readers.

What did you do before you became a writer? Over the years I’ve done everything from work in a movie theater box office to various positions of management. I’ve taught children how to draw and did freelance art for a while, but my call for writing fiction was too great and the muse cannot be ignored. I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Media & Animation.

What sort of music do you listen to? I love music and generally listen to anything that catches my fancy. I enjoy everything from the 1950s, all the way up to the present, ranging from folk to rock. I’m a big fan of pop and alternative. Love the 80s!

What’s the most embarrassing song on your iPod? Oh gosh. Well, I have A LOT of cheesy 80s music in my iTunes player, but I’m not embarrassed to admit I love it! I’d have to say the most embarrassing song I’ve got in there somewhere is by Aqua: Dr. Jones. I’m pretty sure I had Barbie Girl in there at some point. For you English folks, I have Steps’Tragedy on there. Yep. Don’t ask.

What do you do in your spare time? Spare time? Wait, you mean it exists?! When I’m not writing or doing something related to writing, I’m reading, drawing, watching TV, or playing a DVD. I love going to the movies, restaurants, and relaxing.

Favorite hot drink(s)? Coffee. Coffee. Coffee. Coffee. Coffee. Coffee. Coffee. Coffee. Coffee. Coffee. Iced coffee. Hot chocolate. Tea. Coffee.

What genres other than romance do you enjoy reading? When I’m not reading romance I love reading mystery/crime novels with a good detective. I also enjoy reading pulp novels. I’m a big fan of Raymond Chandler’s Philip Marlowe Mysteries.

Favorite movie? Way too many to list them all here. I absolutely love movies. I’m a big fan of Hollywood classics, so any thing with Cary Grant or Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers makes me a happy bunny. I’m also a total geek and love me some comic book movies with hot heroes in tight spandex. Captain America, I’m looking at you. Musicals make me happy and there’s nothing like a good comedy or a too-cool for school action flick.
